Memorial day is a way to honor the veterans who died in service of their country, particularly those who died in battle or as a result of wounds in battle. The Memorial Day Flag Planting Service Project is on Saturday, May 25, 2024 from 8:00 am to 11:am at Pioneer Cemetery in Pleasanton (5780 Sunol Boulevard, Pleasanton, CA 94566) to place flags and medallions on veteran grave sites. Be sure to bring a hammer and screwdriver or spike to make holes in the hard surface.
